Food & Wines of Spain: Wine

Wine in Spain

Spain is the third largest producer of wine in the world with over thirty wineries, from family run to corporate driven, producing a strong variety of libations. Spain is home to the world famous Sherries, Rioja and Ribera del Duero wines.

Visit the bodegas (wine cellars) for a step back in time when wine-making was an art. Oak cask after oak cask fill many caverns awaiting their moment of presentation as a Gran Reserva.

Sherry, one of Spain's most exported wines, is the perfect accompaniment to several delightful plates of tapas. There are many fine wines to pair with regional cuisines, each complementing the other.
